Gastronomy & Literature
Inés Butrón Parra (Barcelona 1965). I graduated Hispanic Philology in the University of Barecelona in 1987, studied humanities in the Oberta University of Catalunya and started my professional career as a teacher of Language and Literature in different schools of Maresme. I've written stories - some of them awarded in different local literary contests. In the year 2003 I decided to make use of my passion for cooking from the ovens of one of the most prestigious cooking schools of Ciudad Condal, the "Escuela de Restauración y Hostelería Hofmann". In 2004 I became part of the team of Radio Kanal Barcelona as a collaborator and producer, which allowed me to unite the world of communication and kitchen as the main axis of my professional labor. Two years later I presented and directed the morning magazine "El Cafe del Bruc". In the last years I've been collaborating with "Onda Cero" in different programs, Salsa Books (Grupo 62) published three of my books, "Rutas Gastronómicas por España" (Gastronomical Routes in Spain) of Cantabira, Andalucia, and Galicia, and right now I'm preparing an essay for the Editorial Peninsula about the most recent history of Spanish kitchen and its protagonists.
